I’m Mari, the creative heart behind Belmont Threads.

I live in the charming town of Belmont, NC, just a stone’s throw from South Point High School, with my husband and our three little dogs—Mookie, Maeby, and Daisy. Originally from the midwest, I’ve fully embraced the Southern charm (and the sweet tea!) thanks to my North Carolina-native husband, who’s from the greater Charlotte area.

Belmont feels like a real-life Stars Hollow to me— if you’re a Gilmore Girls fan, you know exactly what I mean. I adore strolling down Main Street, browsing the boutiques, and soaking in the community’s warmth. My husband and I love catching movies in the park, shopping at the farmer’s market, and enjoying drinks and meals at some of our favorite spots like Sammy's, The Bearded Buffalo, The Lodge, Crow’s Nest Landing, and Nellie’s. Don’t even get me started on The Collective, Belletique, Bubba Jane’s, Piccolo, and Catawba River Antiques—our wallets know them all too well! When it comes to events downtown, the Garibaldi Festival holds a special place in my heart—it’s a celebration of creativity and community that inspires so much of what I do.

As an artist and illustrator with a background in marketing, graphic design, and web design, I pour my love for this town and its people into every piece of apparel that I create. When I’m not designing, you’ll probably find me taking walks through downtown with my hubby, sipping coffee (I’m addicted) or chasing after my pups.
